Coat: Feathery and layered, it once enabled him to survive in the coldest Havir winters; now it stifles his every movement.

Personality

    Evander has never been typical; mature beyond his years as a pup, linguistically advanced as a juvenile, and exceedingly polite for the most-part, he is the picture of a Havirian gentleman. Retaining his home pack's private demeanor, he keeps mostly to himself and his prayers. One of the few who remains faithful to the lost religion, he has tried to teach it to his daughter with little success. Still he remains optimistic when he can, and finds happiness in seeing Thalia grow. Though rarely in a good mood, he has always tried to guide her with a steady, gentle paw.

    With so little and yet so much left to live for, he's always on the verge of breaking down. Having lost the home and the religion which composed his world, the wolves he once knew have moved on while he remains rooted in the past. Refusing to abandon all that he knew, he feels a growing loathing towards those who he feels have abandoned him, and any hope of resurrecting Havir. Evander continues to pray, even if the gods have abandoned them; coming to terms with reality has remained impossible. Vale itself is both a blessing and a curse; he longs to escape it, but he cannot justify leaving those he loves,

History

Pre-Group

    His mother was a loner, but not by choice. Spurned by her birth-pack for a pregnancy she never wanted, she had joined a pack known as Fellfang before departing following the disappearance of the alpha, Story. She traveled to the southeast, aimlessly wandering between claimed territories. With nowhere to go and nowhere to go back to, she struggled with loneliness and retaining her own sanity because of it.

When the wolf encountered Oruz they decided to have a night of fun. Though they parted ways immediately afterward, it wasn't long before she realized what'd become of it, and she eagerly awaited the births of little golden bundles to fill her void. As the pregnancy wore on, however, Helbreau thought back to the son she'd abandoned. Suffering from complications, the strain caused her to long for contact with her first golden child; she found her way back into the domain and high-tailed it for Fellfang. It was before she could reach him that she went into labour, alone in a damp cave amidst the spring rains.

    Rejected by Helbreau for not bearing her family's golden coat–despite their betrayal of her–she abandoned the litter of newborns in the Havirian mountains. By the time he was located and rescued, the rest of his siblings had died from the cold; he'd barely managed to survive off of their remaining body heat. The little one, under the care of the pack's High Priest, Silvanus, manages to recover enough that his life is no longer in danger. It is decided that Havir will be the pup's new home, a decision to which he has no objection.
